A semi-serious guide

to surviving
Italians

A small non-dictionary of words, expressions and habits you will not find in grammar books.

Start with a word

Don’t look for the translation. Look for the context.

Understanding the language is only half the job.

Words, habits and small cultural codes that grammar books rarely explain.

ALLORA COMICS

Six panels. One Italian word. And usually someone who understands it too late.

The entries of Allora. leave the dictionary and end up where they were born: at the bar, in the office, at the restaurant, at home.

Same Italy. Fewer explanations. More consequences.

If you like what we do and want to help Allora. grow, you can become an accomplice.
